Mr. Court has often been retained by service members while the military law enforcement agencies are still conducting their investigation into his client's alleged involvement in an incident. It is not uncommon for Mr. Court's energetic investigation and active representation at this early stage of a case to result in formal charges never being filed or being filed at a much lower level than at first seemed likely. For the client, this is a better result than an acquittal at trial. Unfortunately, due to manpower requirements and service regulations, few military defense counsel are able to perform this service.
