Although Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice does not afford a service member the "right" to an attorney, the right to a "spokesperson" is guaranteed. As an energetic, involved "spokesperson", Mr. Court has attended dozens of Article 15 hearings, including hearings before General Officers, frequently obtaining dismissal of the allegations or extremely minimal punishment for his clients, whether they are enlisted members, or in the warrant or officer ranks.

While uniformed military defense counsel are not prohibited by Article 15 from attending a hearing, the military attorney's work load is frequently too great to permit this service.
